I sort of thought the same thing Kevin. I think the U.N. has enough on it's plate now without the baggage of UFOs. Besides I think most UFO reports are classified under a countries security blanket and would certainly not be handed over to the U.N.
Not necessarily because they are UFOs but because of military / national security.
Most UFO reports can be explained with the exception of a small percentage. I think the percentage that can't be explained should fall under two categories; 1 (simply not enough information), 2 (they are highly classified flight testing). LOL, as with me jmho.

The other night on TV (unfortunately I don't remember which program) this guy has a video to absolutely prove UFO and extraterrestrials.
He shot a video of an ET peeking into his window ( I guess his name was Tom). They did not show the whole video, only one frame.
Evidently on advice from a lawyer (I'm so surprised)
Anyway, even on the single frame the ET was the typical. Large head, large black eyes, regular comic book type.
When he was finished shooting the video he went to the window and the ET ran away.
Yup, I can just imagine some planet half way across this galaxy expending their GNP in energy for 10^6 years to make a trip of that distance to peek in someones window, tromp some poor farmers field into a weird shape then mutilate some cows for good measure just before going back.
Must be some fun planet. Gees! I'd like to visit there myself....
