Hi,
It's been very hot and muggy in Ottawa for two days, with some of the highest humidex readings my station has recorded, but there's been almost no cloud formation, much less rain or thunderstorms. I understand that there was no cold front to get the air rising, but shouldn't there have been some sort of convection-caused rain? It seems like the air had a lot of energy, but was still very stable. Is this unusual?
