I got 2 cold core funnel clouds this afternoon south of Winnipeg. I've got to go sleep now, as I work the night shift tonight, but I'll try to post a pic or 2 in the next couple of days.
Awesome, can't wait :)
Apparently now numerous funnel clouds have been spotted, along with one brief tornado touchdown just South of Morris.

Channel 48 (Environment Canada Weather Channel in Winnipeg) even went as far as to post a "Funnel Cloud Warning". Pretty interesting day!
Looking forward to seeing the pics.

"Funnel cloud warning" must be something the local TV channel did, because it's certainly not something issued by EC. Maybe they saw the (cold core funnel) tornado watch and called it that. But also, it seems a lot of folks in this part of the country don't know the difference between a watch and a warning. Sad, really. It's an education thing. Of course, if we could issue funnel cloud watches instead of having to issue special tornado watches, the confusion would likely be mitigated.

Anyhow, here's a pic--they're pretty much all the same, and it's too bad they're low-contrast. In real life, they were more easily visible, but it was there.

So Dave:!
The text that appears on "SHAW weather channel"
Environment Canada has no say what information that is presented on there???
I like how they present rainfall totals after big storms and little tidbits of information!!!
Well we both have control over it. Thing is, when there's severe weather going on, we don't have time to monitor the channel, so we don't know if erroneous information is being put on there. We hope that whatever is being put on there is correct and, 90% of the time, it is.

The summaries are pretty much the doing of one guy in our office: Dale. He's awesome, and those summaries get tremendous response, as they should.
Thanks Dave. The photo reminds me of a cool north westerly flow over the west coast of Wales/England (minus the sea), which would often spawn cold core funnels and waterspouts of course.

Were they precipitation producers Dave?

Yeah, I drove through some pretty heavy showers this afternoon.
