Finally after almost two months of straight below normal temperatures the West is finally back in the heat. Here in Southern Manitoba we haven't seen a week of above normal temperatures since April 21st. I don't know how long other parts of the West have been in the below-normal conditions but I assume it is very similar. This week many parts of the Prairies will be in the mid to high twenties, perhaps even up into the thirties in some locations.
Of course with these warmer temperatures numerous severe thunderstorm chances will arise. I hope to be posting all about the severe thunderstorms in the near future.
I started the post "Weather Frustration" awhile back, at this point that frustration has lifted and summer has replaced it. I hope all people in the heat can enjoy it, and here's saying welcome to summer from the West!
