Not sure why they would claim that. I was in Deer Lake last summer and experience almost a week of high humidity and very warm too, aka the dreaded high humidex. I guess it`s no different from the Maritimes in that it has humid spells, just depends on the synoptic pattern and local effects.

I am glad I am not the only one that found this advertisement puzzling. They did give a website @ nohumidity.ca but when I went there all it was a travel ad for Nfld and talked about "less humidity and less smog". The smog part I get, but less humid...less humid than where??? I doubt it is less humid than the prairies? I am just really puzzled why they make this claim and how?

Most likely a campaign aimed at Americans and those from Ontario, trying to entice those plagued by smog and humidity. Next month it might be come to Newfoundland we don't have flooding or tornadoes
