Astronomy magazine has 'branched out' a wee bit and is experimenting with a extreme weather publication.
I'll post the site in case anyone is interested.

I have absolutely no idea of the quality or content this will be in this

I can say thought the the parent company Astronomy mag. is a very good publication.
Well laid out and article researched. If they carried this over to Extreme Weather, then it is probably not going to be too bad.

Looks interesting...do you think that there would be much Canadian content?

Not really sure Sheila. I would think that if any Canadian articles were submitted
they would be considered.
Extreme weather happens just about everywhere at one time or another. I suspect if it was bad enough it would probably be covered in one of the issues.

I think the best thing to do would be wait until it comes out on news stands. Perhaps buy two or three issues, if it has the information and content you are looking for then subscribe.

We have a newsstand that carries a large array of different publications. I'm going to see if I can pick it up there. If and when I get one I'll certainly post on it.

I just picked up my copy of Extreme Weather it looks like a very interesting mag.

Thank you very much for the heads up. It had skipped my mind entirely.
I'll drop by the news stand tomorrow and pick it up.
When I first seen the adds for it I thought it would be worth looking at.

I finally got a chance to get my copy today.

I agree it looks like an very interesting magazine. Some of the storm pictures in the back are really nice.
Also a lot of good articles. The article on the 1900 Galveston hurricane should be interesting.
Yup, I agree with you BIRDMAN interesting mag. and lots of good relaxing reading there.

Anyone interested in weather, especially extreme weather will enjoy this. It' well worth the 10 buck or so.

This issue has articles on climate change, tornadoes, hurricane, thunder storms, storm chasing lighting and other things.
Ninety eight pages worth.

Glad it's out , now I will see if I can find a copy around here. I would like to read a copy before subscribing.

I'm not sure you can subscribe to this. I think this is a special issue.
However, I'm thinking Astronomy magazine are sending out feelers to see how well the magazine is accepted.
If it looks good you may eventually see it out on a quarterly or even a monthly basis.

If they kept the same content and quality as this issue I would have no problem with subscribing.
