Looks like the storm that was forecasted for the Great lakes has moved further west. John Dee is calling for 12+ inches(30cm) in most off Minnesota and the Dakotas with some places getting 15-20inches(35-50cm), surely this means Winnipeg should get 5-10cm(2-4inches) IMO. Anyone else see this??? TWN says 5-10cm on Thursday and 5-10cm on Xmas day but I never take TWN seriously anymore. Its been cold here and we maybe have 5cm on the ground but need more

Looks Like Thunder Bay might get a good 20cm out of this also

I have been scouring the weather forum/sites but it seems most are weather weenies from Toronto who only forecast stuff for there...

I see EC has issued a Special Weather Statement for NW Ont. Calling for periods of snow on Thur/Fri for Winnipeg. Brett Anderson at AccuWeather.com may write on it in his blog if he posts it today.

We got just over 5cm so far

EC calls for:
2-4cm tonight
5-10cm tomorrow
5cm tomorrow night

about time

I would say we got about 12-15cm and just had some freezing rain for an hr at 10pm tonight but its back to snow again, btw holy windy, I live Downtown Winnipeg when I left to go celebrate Xmas I was at Portage and Main and now know why they say it's the windiest corner, truck was just a shaking :D
