Rainfall warning for
Kings County issued
Rainfall amounts of 50 millimetres are expected by Sunday evening.
This is a warning that significant rainfall is expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.
A frontal trough will set up over Nova Scotia later today and remain nearly stationary overnight and on Sunday. A low pressure system in this trough will move up the eastern seaboard tonight to lie over Nova Scotia by Sunday evening. This frontal feature will bring periods of rain to western regions beginning this morning. The rain will slowly push northeastward today to reach Cape Breton by midnight. Rain associated with the low will follow without any significant break in the precipitation and continue overnight and on Sunday.
Rainfall warnings have been issued for the western regions of Nova Scotia where 50 millimetres of rain is forecast by Sunday evening. Other areas of the province will see lesser amounts generally 30 to 40 millimetres. Over eastern portions of mainland Nova Scotia and Cape Breton 20 millimetres is currently forecast.
This moist air mass accompanying the rain is also expected to bring thundershowers across the region. Higher amounts of rain can be expected locally in these thundershowers. Please note that these rainfall warnings may be extended to other areas of Nova Scotia depending on the position of the trough when it arrives this evening.

We had some spotty downpours move through the area earlier today but it has been quiet for the past while. Looks to be some cells inland.

A low pressure system in this trough will move up the eastern seaboard tonight to lie over Nova Scotia by Sunday evening. Rain associated with these systems will continue over southern sections without any prolonged breaks in the precipitation until Monday morning.
Rainfall warnings have been issued for southeastern regions of New Brunswick where 50 millimetres or more of rain is forecast by Monday morning.
This moist air mass accompanying the rain could bring thundershowers tonight across the region. Higher amounts of rain can be expected locally in these thundershowers. Please note that these rainfall warnings may be extended to other areas of Southern New Brunswick depending on the position of the trough when it arrives tonight.

We are now under a rainfall warning. The rain is most certainly needed. Hoping for some thunder!

A frontal trough that settled over the Bay of Fundy on Saturday will continue to give rain and a few thundershowers today. A low pressure system approaching from the southwest will follow along this trough and reintensify this rain later tonight.
Rainfall warnings are continued Western Nova Scotia and are extended to central regions including Halifax area and Truro.
This moist air mass accompanying the rain could bring thundershowers across the region. Higher amounts of rain can be expected locally in these thundershowers. Please refer to the latest public forecasts for further details.

With the high humidity, rain, high temps.
It almost seem like there is a tropical storm lurking. Luckily there is no such thing. However, I also would not mind an exciting lighting show.
We may still get some interesting weather later on tonight.
Radar at the present time is showing some rain activity in your area in the next 1/2 hour or so, as with here.
A couple of high level clouds echoes but they are well off the coast. Damn!

Really impressive amount of rain though.
What a weather week! I actually weeded the garden in the rain on Sunday because it just felt so good after all that heat. Besides, I'm not made of sugar and as such will not melt in the rain
